Can You Meditate? Yes, You Can!

How many times have you asked yourself this question, " Can I meditate"? How many times have you questioned your meditation technique? Does it even work? Are you getting maximum benefit from your technique? Before I learned Inner Sound Meditation, I tried to meditate and it didn't work for me. I went to yoga classes and could never meditate at the end of the session. I would open my eyes and see everyone in a state of bliss, except for me. I went to meditation workshops and looked up meditation on YouTube but nothing worked. I couldn't do it...or so I thought. I believed that I couldn't calm my mind down long enough to meditate. I would walk out of the class feeling like a failure and more stressed than when I came in. "Meditation isn't for me", I would say to anyone that asked. I couldn't stop the thoughts.




I could imagine myself on a beach, with the wind blowing and the waves crashing and the sun peeking out from the beautiful horizon reflecting on the water, but my thoughts would bombard the scene. I could imagine myself on a mountain top, which is my favorite place to be. I could hear the birds and feel the silence that the top of the mountain offered and see all of creation below me, looking like a beautiful quilt made by Mother Nature. Then, my thoughts would arrive and crash the scene. I thought I was supposed to not think about my thoughts, but they came charging like a train. So instead of being in a serene place within myself, I found myself bothered by my thoughts and judging myself from the crazy thoughts I had. I didn't like it, so I quit. I was a busy mom and I didn't have that kind of time anyways. I didn't think meditation was important until I met my teacher.


I met Chinello Haney in 2011 and began learning from him in 2012. Chinello had just gotten back from India, where he spent 3 solid months with his teacher, Sri Kaleshwar, and we were lucky enough to pull him to Tampa, Florida to teach us and one of the very first things I learned was Inner Sound Meditation. I was sure I would fail at this too, but I knew I had to give it a try.


After my first session, I realized how easy it is. I also realized that I didn't need to mind my thoughts. I learned that a majority of my thoughts came from stress I was building up in my body. Most of all, I realized how amazing I felt after I meditated. It was easy, effortless and natural. I just needed the right teacher to help me see what I didn't see. As my body began to purify stress, something happened that was totally unexpected. I felt joy. I felt peace. I felt strong. I felt happy.

Over the last 8 years, it has been a joy to give my body the break it needed. It's been a joy to help my body heal from past trauma and uncover the wisdom, love and peace that was already inside me waiting to be uncovered. I began to change my perspective from " I need to meditate" to " I get to meditate". I really have the amazing, profound opportunity every day to sit with myself and uncover the inner happiness that has always been there. Because of Inner Sound Meditation, I felt happiness and I wasn't minding those crazy thoughts!


It has also been a joy to watch my children grow and flourish, knowing that by giving myself the time I deserved to purify daily stress and uncover my inner happiness, they feel less stress and have become happier as a result.

Before I learned Inner Sound Meditation, I didn't realize that not all meditation is created equal. There are several different types of meditation. Inner Sound Meditation has given me my life back, this meditation technique has allowed me to help keep my immune system strong, see the truth in every situation I encounter but most of all, the benefits continue to roll in.


After many years of meditating, with my teacher's blessing, I had to opportunity to learn how to teach this amazing meditation technique to you. You can live a life of peace, less stress, inner happiness and joy! I will help facilitate an environment for you to help you give yourself the best gift you can, and the most powerful healing technique that you can take with you for the rest of your life.
